Ripper Street reaches NZ...
Finally .... saw a trailer advert on SKY last night, Ripper Street season one starts here in NZ on BBC UKTV on monday night (13th Jan)...
Looking forward to checking this out...
Has anymore been heard about if its getting axed or not by the jolly ol' Beeb?
On a related note, my Dremel etching tool arrived in the post so I got a more work done on cobblestone etching on my city base board last night... so far I've got an area done roughly 6" x 36"... getting there slowly... I'll try and get a bit done each night, continue work on the Tavern and try and get more paint on the Requiem figures for the painting challenge... as usual its all go at Chez Bowman...
I'm looking forward to this too Scott.
ReplyDeleteWill check it out. Simon of Brummieswargaming is a fan so that is a good reason to have a look.
ReplyDeleteI watched first 3 episodes on plane last year. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt has also been released on Canadian Netflix, I have heard good things, and the first two episodes seem good enough.
ReplyDeletedo not get too into it its been axed after second series although a big grown swell of support for it to be brought back
ReplyDeleteI've seen both seasons and its fantastic. I'm using screen captures to plot my Victorian buildings. Tye BBC has canceled it but some British internet company has picked up to produce seasons 3 &4 and the BBC will buy those seasons from them!? The BBC is just out of control these days.
ReplyDeleteSounds an odd arrangement but at least the show is continuing! Thanks for that.
DeleteIt has been axed but rumours they are in talks with an external company to make season 3 & 4. The stories are excellent if you like season 1 this is just as good if not better.
ReplyDeleteI'm very interested in this series but I'm not sure when or whether it'll make its way to Germany...
ReplyDeleteAxed at end of season 2. There is an online petition to save it though, worth signing if you like what you see. I believe Netflix or one of the online streaming TV services are considering picking it up though
ReplyDeleteIts a great series, doesn't matter if we get another season, you'll still love it!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you'll need the inspiration as you seen to have the right ideas when it comes to your buildings and terrain. the other guys comments are about right, seemslike lovefilm may be continuing it with some strange licencing thing with bbc. Just another example of why the BBC is ridiculous, British tv is awash with reality tv, and we have to pay for it whether we want it or not!
ReplyDeleteYou won't be disappointed, great series, loved every minute - although it does take a while to 'tune in' to the language.
ReplyDeleteThe first episode was very controversial in the UK because of its treatment of violence against women but the series did not continue like this so don't be put off. Just remember its filmed in Dublin so... too much red brick!
ReplyDeleteAll good, thanks for the heads up.... don't worry... i'm a yellow brick man from now on! ;-)
